It is not always necessary to agree in order to look together. Sometimes it is enough to share a certain way of holding onto doubt, of accepting strange decisions and following them through to the end. "Con cuatro ojos, uno ve mejor que con dos" brings together four distinct ways of understanding the image, the object, and space. They do not seek to fit together or speak the same language. Their relationship emerges elsewhere: in the precision of their decisions, in a shared tension, and in a willingness to carry each gesture as far as it can go without over-correcting it. There is something slightly absurd running through the entire exhibition. Like a group of riders unable to find their direction, yet moving forward nonetheless, with pickles on their heads, cowboy boots on their feet, and patterned socks. The image is ridiculous, certainly, but the decisions are not. The works approach from different places: some construct, others cut away; some stretch the surface, others empty it out. Yet all seem to understand that looking is not about imposing order on the world, but about accepting that certain things work without ever being fully explained.
